ThameCOP26 Tally Day and Conversation Stall

PROGRESS !

We have 20 organisations’ pledges already posted on www.thamecop.co.uk with more waiting to go on.

The Changemakers event on Thursday 4th November went brilliantly.  Lord Williams’s school brought 20 upper school teenagers who were engaged and interested in the topics that the panel speakers were presenting.   There was a real buzz in the room when they returned from the visit around Cuttlebrook Nature Reserve and around the town to see solar panels, electric cars and hear about the local community EV projects.

The facebook and instagram pages have had plenty of posts now including all the organisation commitments.  Some great posts about the Lord Williams’s School Changemakers day.

We would really appreciate everyone sharing the posts as much as possible.  Each time someone shares one of the posts the reach of the project grows massively.

WEDNESDAY 10TH NOVEMBER MEETUP

Next meetup at The W will be on Wed 10th November 4.30 -6.00.   We really enjoyed chatting through everyone’s experiences last week and it was great to see even more new faces.

TALLY UP DAY – THURSDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

The tally up day will take place on Thursday 11th November at Thame Town Hall from 10am until 3pm.  This is where we will be trying to quantify the changes committed to by the organisations.   Everyone is invited – it would be great to have a team there to discuss the best way to tally and display the results.

COP CONVERSATION STALL OUTSIDE THAME TOWN HALL – FRIDAY 12TH NOVEMBER

Outside the Town Hall on Friday will be a COP Conversation stall where we will be chatting with the general public about the Glasgow COP26 summit and ThameCOP.  We’ll see what the reaction of the public is and begin to update our thoughts on where Thame should go from here.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We really need volunteers to help with Thursday and Friday.  Please contact [email protected] or [email protected] if you can be there.
