ThameCOP26 progress report 3 Nov 2021

The ThameCOP website was launched on Monday 1st November.

It’s purpose – to showcase the work that organisations around Thame have achieved to help tackle climate change and to record their commitments to more changes by March 2021.

A team of nearly 20 ‘COP researchers’ have been starting a climate conversation with each of the businesses in Thame (and a few further afield too) with a view to encouraging more change by March 2021.

Certainly the conversations have been easier than expected because of the amount of publicity climate change has right now with COP26 taking place.

Organisations that are getting involve include businesses – large, small, corporate, faith groups, schools and a variety of others.

The website has gone live with 8 business commitments and we already have another 7 waiting to be loaded up.  Meetings are already booked with more.

We have a list of the businesses in Thame and our researchers are taking on as many as they can over the next 10 days – but to cover as many as we can we need just a few more volunteers to join in.  So if you would like to make a difference in Thame then please contact [email protected] and ask about ‘COP researching’.

If you are a business and would like to pledge please do contact [email protected], [email protected] or use the commitment form on the www.thamecop.co.uk website.

The website has been kindly designed, built and hosted by GrowCreate.
